A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Good questions.
Useful answers.
Start with the short answer. Follow the guide when you’re ready to make a change.
Starting out
Does Odyssey include films or channels?
Odyssey organises and plays media from sources you connect. It supplies no media or provider subscriptions. Begin with an authorised service you already use. Read the guide →
How do I add Jellyfin, Emby or Silo?
In browser player management, choose Add source and Media server, select your service and enter the details requested. Native app forms differ; the guide explains each verified flow. Read the guide →
Where is Discover Odyssey?
Discover Odyssey is the first Settings option in the inspected 2.0.0 source. The website guides are also available independently of the app. Read the guide →
Does my whole setup sync?
Supported account and profile data follow your managed setup. Do not assume that every device preference or a locally added provider credential transfers. Check the active profile on both devices. Read the guide →
Watching and organising
Why is my saved channel missing from Live?
A saved Channel Studio recipe and a published Live channel are separate. Check publication and source access before deleting or recreating anything. Read the guide →
Why are downloaded subtitles out of time?
The subtitle may be for a different cut, episode or release. Prefer an embedded track supplied with the video, or manually select a matching release. Read the guide →
Why can I find a title but not play it?
A metadata result describes a title. Playback still needs a connected, authorised source that provides the selected film or episode for your profile. Read the guide →
What happens when I replace a source?
Saved channels can still refer to the previous source identity. Reconnect their bindings to a permitted source and review affected channels. Read the guide →
Watching with others
Are Watch Party and Live TV sharing the same?
Watch Party synchronises movies and episodes using each person’s own source. Live TV SharePlay follows the connected Home DVR sharing flow and its source permissions. Read the guide →
Does an invitation give me a media subscription?
No. A friend request, Series Lock invitation or Watch Party invitation does not grant provider access or media rights. Each participant needs the applicable authorised access. Read the guide →
Can Series Lock work across accounts?
The inspected implementation supports local household profiles and invited friends across Odyssey accounts. Friends must accept before they participate. Read the guide →
Does Watch Anyway unlock the whole app?
The inspected implementation authorises the challenged episode for that playback attempt. It does not create an app-wide unlocked session. Read the guide →
Protection and help
How does Adult content protection work?
Protected Adult content requires the appropriate PIN. Kids Mode hides Adult content. These protections are distinct from Series Lock and ordinary account management. Read the guide →
Can children use Odyssey?
The website’s responsible-use requirement is 18 and over. Kids Mode is a content-restriction setting and does not change that age requirement. Read the guide →
What does DVR need?
A connected supported recording service or Home DVR companion, an accessible source and the applicable permissions. Installing the desktop app alone does not complete service configuration. Read the guide →
What should I send support?
Include your app build, device, operating system, exact error and what you were trying to do. Remove passwords, tokens, management codes and credential-bearing URLs. Read the guide →
