Use the correct protection

The Adult section has its own owner-PIN gate. It is available only when the active profile is permitted to access it. Kids Mode hides Adult content; entering an Adult PIN is not a way to reveal it inside a restricted Kids profile.

Odyssey supplies no media. An unlocked section can only show permitted content available through connected sources. Unlocking does not add a source, grant provider access or change your rights to the media.

This guide is for adults aged 18 or over. It describes a content-access control, not a way to bypass profile restrictions.

Before opening Adult

Make sure you are using the intended authorised profile and have its required owner approval. If an owner PIN has not been set, the Adult screen directs you to Settings → Parental Controls first.

The owner PIN is different in purpose from a source password, management code or Series Lock override. Read the prompt instead of assuming every protected action uses the same credential.

Unlock the Adult section

1. Open Adult from the app’s available navigation.
2. If the screen shows Adult section locked, enter the Owner PIN.
3. Choose Unlock Adult.
4. Wait while Odyssey verifies the PIN.
5. Browse only after access has been accepted and the section loads.

The screen explains that the section locks again when you leave it. Odyssey also locks the section again on relevant navigation, background and profile-access changes. Do not treat one successful entry as a permanent unlock across the app.

Adult Live TV categories

The adult Live TV category flow uses a related protected destination. Its prompt is titled Adult Live TV, asks for Owner PIN and offers Unlock Adult Live TV.

Use that exact prompt when it is presented for an allowed category. A settings permission obtained without PIN verification is not an Adult-content unlock. The same active-profile restrictions still apply, and the source must actually provide the channel.

Worked example

An authorised adult opens Adult, enters the owner PIN and browses the available library. They return to another section of Odyssey. When they later open Adult again, the screen asks for the owner PIN because leaving revoked the section’s access session.

This is expected behaviour. It differs from the separate timed playback restrictions described in Parental Controls and from Series Lock’s one-episode Watch Anyway approval. A previous successful PIN elsewhere does not prove that this destination is unlocked.

When content or verification is unavailable

“Adult content is unavailable for this profile”: check the active profile and its restrictions. Do not repeatedly submit a PIN to a destination that the profile is not allowed to use.

“PIN could not be verified”: check the owner PIN and the connection, then try again. A failed verification does not confirm that the PIN was changed.

No owner PIN: return to Settings → Parental Controls and complete owner-PIN setup there before retrying the Adult screen.

The section opens but has no titles: examine connected-source availability and profile access. An access gate cannot supply a missing catalogue.

The section locks while you move between screens: navigation or a change in the active profile can revoke access. Return to the intended destination and use its current prompt.

Quick answers

Does unlocking Adult unlock my entire profile? The Adult destination uses a specific access session. Profile entry, settings and Series Lock checks are separate.

Can Kids Mode show Adult after PIN approval? No. Its exclusion of Adult content remains a separate restriction.

How do I close access again? Leave the Adult section. Do not share your owner PIN or a screenshot containing credentials to demonstrate that it worked.

Are Adult libraries identical on every source? No. Content availability and classification depend on the authorised source and the profile’s permitted access.
